These homes have gas fireplaces and factory-built chimneys, and the duct systems are now at the age where first-time air duct cleaning removes the debris that accumulated during construction and the first years of HVAC operation.
The rural setting around Star means agricultural dust and cottonwood seed from the riparian areas along Dry Creek and the irrigation canals can work their way into exterior dryer vent caps and HVAC return air intakes more aggressively than in urban areas. We factor this into our inspection protocol for Star customers.
