Complete Inspection
Full Level 1 check of the flue, firebox, damper, and venting.
Lint buildup is the cause most homeowners do not see coming - we clean the full duct run from dryer connection to exterior cap, inspect for damage, and tell you if the installation is safe.
Trained to CSIA Standards - Fully Insured
Cheaper than a guess. We come out, check it, and tell you straight what it needs. No pressure to book the cleaning.
Full Level 1 check of the flue, firebox, damper, and venting.
We check the full duct run and the exterior cap, then tell you honestly.
We look first and only recommend cleaning when it is actually warranted.
No obligation. A written quote always comes before any work begins.
Full duct run cleaned, lint trap cleared, exterior cap inspected. Fixed price. One crew, one visit.
We pull the line, clear the full run from the dryer to the cap, and show you the lint that comes out. This is a real cleaning, start to finish.
Lint builds in layers you cannot see from the laundry room. It accumulates at every bend in the duct, at the duct-to-dryer connection, and inside the exterior cap. When the airflow drops below what the dryer needs to exhaust heat, the motor works harder, the air backs up, and the lint reaches ignition temperature. A duct that takes two cycles to dry a load is telling you something.
We clean from both ends when the run requires it - rotary brush from the dryer connection, high-powered vacuum capture, and a cap inspection on the exterior. Rooftop runs get the same treatment as wall exits. We do not call a job done until the airflow reading at the cap confirms the restriction is cleared.
The U.S. Fire Administration recommends cleaning dryer vents at least once a year. Households with heavy laundry loads, long duct runs, or a gas dryer should consider twice a year. A dryer that takes more than one cycle to dry a load, or that runs hot to the touch, is telling you the vent is restricted.
Yes. The U.S. Fire Administration reports roughly 2,900 home dryer fires per year, and failure to clean is the leading cause. Lint is highly flammable and accumulates in the duct, in the trap, and behind the dryer. When the duct is blocked, heat builds up and can ignite the lint. This is not a hypothetical risk - it happens in regular homes with regular dryers.
Rigid metal duct (galvanized or aluminum) with smooth interior walls is the safest option. It catches less lint, tolerates higher heat, and resists crushing. Flexible aluminum foil duct is acceptable for short transition runs from the dryer to the wall. Plastic or vinyl flex duct is not safe for dryers - it melts under high heat and traps lint in its ribbed interior.
Clear signs: clothes take longer to dry than they used to, the dryer exterior is unusually hot, the laundry room feels humid during a drying cycle, the exterior flap does not fully open when the dryer runs, or there is a burning smell. Any one of these is reason enough to schedule a cleaning.
Our dryer vent cleaning is $129 fixed price. That covers the full duct run from the dryer connection to the exterior cap, including cleaning the accessible dryer trap area and inspecting the cap. Dryer vent inspection is $49 separately, but we waive it when you book cleaning the same day. Rerouting and duct correction starts at $225 and is priced by complexity.
Yes. Rooftop exhaust runs are common in two-story homes and multi-unit buildings. They require different tooling than a standard wall exit - we use extended rotary brush systems sized for the run length and access from the dryer end, the roof cap, or both depending on how the duct was installed. Rooftop runs also accumulate lint in the bends faster than short exterior-wall runs, so we inspect for restriction and cap condition at both ends.
